Remember, Remember

Friday was basically a normal day. In the Vikings! tutorial we talked about essay writing and bibliographies. Generally I really like organizing my sources and making the bibliography, but I'm really frustrated with how different the format is here. It's just going to be a pain to worry about whether    I'm getting everything technically correct. At one point the tutor (Lisa Wotherspoon who literally looks like Cheryl from Miss Congeniality) asked what we think is acceptable for a first class mark. I literally muttered under my breath to Kelsie "Be amazing" and somehow Lisa heard me and laughed lol at least she has a good sense of humor. I actually went to Vikings! lecture, even though no one else went with me lol. I sat in the back with Momo (one of my Bulgarian friends) and we had a good time laughing about how random the lecture was, and looking at the people that fell asleep. The topic was Horses and Vikings... least to say it was absolutely riveting. Apparently stallion fights are a great form of entertainment. I hung out in the hub while waiting for my next lecture. It felt good to do some work and plan my essay for the Arthur class. I'm not too worried about writing the essay, just getting a hold of the sources I need. After my inorganic chemistry lecture, I did some more work for my essay and then went to town with Bri, Kelsie, and Lindsay. We had a really nice time walking around and then we went to TGIFriday's for a date night dinner lol. We had a really nice talking about our families and things like that. It's funny how you can feel the moment when you have really bonded with people. It's like a moment when you know that you can talk with these people and they will listen and not judge you, but understand. It's really great when you get to a level of friendship like that with another person. We had a perfect viewing position for all the cute babies that went by with their parents. We were hardcore pedo creeping, but in a good way lol. We all love babies. After our date night, we went to union with Zoe and her sister, Katie. We had a really good time pre-celebrating Zoe's birthday. Before we got to union, we literally made Bri take her furry, biohazardous pumpkin out and we disposed of it in rapey park which was a lot of fun lol. We had a good time at union, though. We played some great music and had a lot of fun singing! :) Some silly shenanigans went down, as well. But overall it was a very tame night.

Saturday I slept like a dead person. It's really difficult to get anything done now-a-days since I sleep in so long during the day that by the time I actually get around to working the sun is setting and darkness is encroaching. I'm definitely not going to get used to how short the days are here. But I made a really nice breakfast (definitely putting off work lol). I actually made french toast and it was really delicious. I made too much, so I took some over for Kelsie and Lindsay and they really enjoyed it as well lol. At one point Lindsay turned to me and asked me if I would marry her, I immediately answered yes. Lol a quick way to acquire citizenship in Scotland sounds fabulous to me lol. After brunch, I skyped with Erika and that was a lot of fun, especially seeing her babies and Bob lol. Ugh I really miss her and I'm pretty sad that I'm missing Thanksgiving at home this year. It's really a special time for us to be home in Ohio and have that time together. But I'm really looking forward to Christmas. I just hope that everything works out like how I hope. After skyping, I did some more work and then quickly remembered how I was supposed to go to the Guy Fawks firework show at the beach, so I showered and ate some dinner like a tornado (my flatmates thought it was hilarious) and was out the door in less than an hour. Unfortunately, I hurried for no real reason since the fireworks started later than we thought and we had to wait for everyone. I had a good time hanging out in South House with everyone, though. Just a small group of us went to the beach, but it was a lot of fun. It was a really clear but chill evening and the sea looked so pretty. It was an absolutely beautiful night and we had a great time walking down. I'm really going to miss everyone, and it makes it even worse when everyone starts to say how they are going to really miss you as well lol. All of a sudden we are all really good, silly friends, hopefully it will last. I'm sure it will. The fireworks were literally minds blowing. We were standing nearly right under them and the show was amazing! The finally was unlike anything I've ever seen. I'm really glad Bri was taking videos lol. You randomly here silly comments like "Holy cow" (me) or "At the end I felt like I was in another dimension" lol (Eddie). Overall it was a very patriotic and wonderful time. I'm so happy that I went, it was pretty moving. All that was missing were the two fireworks at the end like in V for Vendetta. After a nice (but long) walk back to Hillhead, we got ready and went to union to really celebrate Zoe's birthday. Everyone had congregated and we had a timer for when it struck midnight. We immediately started screaming and singing happy birthday lol. Zoe got her gifts and her reaction to Kelsie's present was absolutely perfect, she started crying! It was a really great night and I'm happy that I was there to celebrate with everyone. It was a great night. :)
